It was Daniel Goleman who in 1995 introduced Emotional Intelligence to a wide audience. Emotional Intelligence helps answer a question why high IQ does not guarantee a personal or business success. All skills of Emotional intelligence can be developed. They are not fixed for life, therefore we are responsible. This knowledge makes us fully accountable for our own happiness, professional and personal relationships, the view of self. But let’s not forget that professional assessment of Emotional Intelligence gives indication of the areas for improvement as well as skills that already positively influence our effective functioning. These can be used as a foundation to build on in the process of coaching with Emotional Intelligence.
