We are surrounded by a large community of professional coaches at Positive Success Group. They are all talented, inspiring and motivated individuals whose wisdom and experience is worth sharing. We are proud of our professional coaching community at PSG and we believe its voice should be heard.
We want to help professional coaches introduce themselves, their work, purpose, approach and a view of coaching as a profession. Every month we invite one coach from our community to become our Featured Coach for that month. We can all support each other and grow through the journey of another human being. For everyone this means access to more ideas, shared vision and an opportunity to connect and collaborate.
So who is our Featured Coach in March?
Here is our Coach of the Month – March Coaching Q & A
PSG: Since qualifying, what are the top 3 lessons you have learnt that support your growth as a coach:
The first and most important lesson is that the most important relationship that everyone has, is the relationship with themselves. How do you treat yourself? How do you speak to yourself? Is your self talk full of criticism and anger towards yourself? Do you nourish your body, mind and soul? Examine the relationship you have with yourself.
The second lesson is related to the first. I have learned that forgiveness is one of the most powerful practices for enabling and empowering all of us to move forward and enjoy life to the full in the present and the future. We benefit hugely when we forgive everyone and everything from the past, especially ourselves. Not an easy thing to do, but like everything else there are tools that can be used and practice is vital.
The third lesson I’ve learned is that when I give anything to anyone, I receive more back to me. The more I give, the more I get. Whenever I have shared anything, the value I get from whatever it was, increased multifold.
PSG: To -date, as a coach, what has brought you the most fulfilment?
The thing that’s brought me the most fulfilment is being part of people’s life journey. I consider it a great honour and privilege that someone else would place trust in me. Trust is something I place huge value on and I see the coaching space as being sacred.
PSG: What do you foresee as the main reasons for clients to look for coaching in 2015?
In my humble opinion the main reasons for coaching in 2015 and into the future is the rate at which everything man made is changing, including and especially the way we communicate and connect with everyone in our lives. Our families, work colleagues and friends. Change is good, if you adapt and accept.
