October’s here. This is the month of Getting and Giving. It’s a month of understanding and investing in meaningful relationships in your life. The key here is to notice the value of human connections and the mutual benefits of investing in them. Now’s the time to open up. Now’s the time to offer more and so receive more. Be prepared to share some of your best resources (time, energy, skills, knowledge etc.) and to receive the same gift back.
People know PSG. But most of you know us, our team and what we do only professionally. This is serious business. We are the “go to” people for coaching, adult education, personal development, leadership, business development. You get the picture. Because of that we don’t have many opportunities to share with others what is happening “behind the scenes”, to mention our quirky habits and show the different sides of our personalities.
So we’re ready now. Setting an example for others this October, comes with responsibility. We want to “give you” more of us hoping that you will also feel like sharing more of yourself. We’re making it fun! In the month of Getting and Giving we bring you 5 facts about PSG you didn’t know.
1. We have a thing for OWLs
Ok, maybe you know about this already but you don’t know the extent. We see OWLs everywhere we go. We have a collection of toys, mugs, t-shirts, bags, tops, notebooks, picture frames, jewellery, stationery in general, flower pots, key rings, phone cases, pillows and more. If there is an OWL on it – we probably have it. And if we don’t and you see it first, please let us know. Thank you!
2. We LOVE new – All our senses become alert every time we hear, see or smell new, fresh and current. This is because we love knowing. New thinking, new ideas, trends, new knowledge, new possibilities, solutions, inspirations and new inspiring people. Our reality changes fast and it’s important to have a finger on the pulse. Our students expect it from us and so do our clients. But in all honesty we simply get a great buzz out of every day research online, attending conferences, listening to speakers, reading new books. It gives us a sense of being a part of it all, being on top of what’s happening out there. It gives us access to the World.
3. We are HUGE music fans – and this is one that is also linked to the “Love of the New”. We don’t know where we would be without music. We sing (usually while driving). We can regularly be found at the hottest music gigs in the city: Beyonce, Macklemore, Ed Sheeran. The best thing about our team is that each of us enjoys different music genres. We frequently exchange emails, share links to new videos and exchange opinions. We follow some of our favourite celebrities on Social Media; discuss trends and the ever-changing world of entertainment. Quite frankly if we were to form a judging panel on the X Factor we would be well able for it!
4. “How You Doin’?”– In the recent years we rediscovered and continue to enjoy the fun and wisdom of the… TV series “Friends”. Having watched all episodes (yes, a number of times) we find ourselves in tears sometimes – tears of laughter. We remember scenes and quotes and there are dialogs that practically fit in every real life situation. So they show up in our conversations and we keep arguing about our favourite characters? Who’s your favourite? Can you even choose? And “Oh… my… God!”what’s your favourite quote?
5. Maureen believes she wins every quiz we take but as with all the beliefs it’s good to reality-test them. Ok, Maureen won one or two quizzes in the past. But the rest of the team really believes that the race is still on and the next time we’ll set the bar higher, the questions will be more difficult and the time to answer them shorter. We hope to offer everyone an opportunity to show their own specialised knowledge. This way claiming the first spot on a podium will be a real and juicy success. Do you have any good/fun/challenging/interesting questions for a quiz? Let us know. Email us at email@example.com …but don’t tell Maureen.
Hey, this is fun! It’s great to share and in a future we’ll be looking for more opportunities to tell you more.
Now it’s your turn. Leave a comment and let us get to know you a little better. Do we share any passions? Do you like what we like? What do you think is the most interesting fact about you? What’s your quirky habit or skill? We’re looking forward to what you have to say.
Happy Sharing and Happy Getting and Giving this October.
